Univé North Netherlands developed the culture program “Vol Vuur” (Filled with Fire) together with The Thrive. This encourages people to look for ways to be meaningful through their personal energy and passion. In other words, creating social value. It requires ownership and courage!

The Thrive helped us bring the ‘hidden gold’ more to the surface, by igniting inner fires and sometimes adding ‘fuel to the fire.’ By connecting different people, you ensure movement. We then worked in Campfire sessions with our own team to collaborate on innovation from this power.

‘Vol Vuur’ is not a course you complete, but the beginning of a process of rediscovery and renewal. Only then can you truly go Filled with Fire’!

Thanks to The Thrive’s dedicated and driven approach, our colleagues are inspired and activated. They were provided with energetic tools to reflect on their sustainable employability, enabling them to take control of their talents and energy givers, both at work and beyond. This program created a lot of energy and connection within the organization.

Throughout the entire process (design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation), The Thrive brought decisiveness, innovation, and inspiration, both for the organization and the colleagues. The Thrive served as a strong sparring partner in translating our vision into a concrete approach.

Our field faces major challenges: we are building more and more, growing rapidly, sustainability is high on the agenda, and at the same time, we need to ensure affordability. To tackle these challenges, we are preparing our organization for a future where we can act agile, smart, and powerful. We do this based on our core values: Ownership, Collaboration, and Improvement. While these values are beautifully expressed in our business plan, the real question lies in the execution: how do we truly bring these values to life? How do we ensure that the ‘intention’ becomes deeply rooted in the minds, hearts, and actions of all our employees?

All employees started with the Vol Vuur program. The sessions are aimed at discovering deeper motivation and connecting it with passion and positive energy to the organization’s goals. It’s not about working for Vechtdal Wonen, but about working on Vechtdal Wonen together. This creates more connection and courage, leading to openness and personal growth. This development leads to stronger teams where differences are respected and appreciated.

Within the management team, we have learned to focus more on relationships and respond to people’s needs and motivations. This makes it easier to embrace change and pursue the organization’s goals with passion.

Our business strategy, goals, and plans were already on paper, but real change requires more than just setting up processes; it’s about activation. And activation revolves around the person behind the professional. The Thrive calls this people-centered transformation: not only addressing the mind but especially the heart and holding up a mirror. This can be daunting, but it is incredibly valuable.

By working together with The Thrive, we are experiencing profound change. The sense of pride, the realization that we are Vechtdal Wonen together.
